LiDAR scans are images of objects created with light and sensor. The technology was initially developed to give artificial intelligence the ability to map an environment while moving through it. Animal hardwiring comes equipped to remember where we are in reference to where we have been naturally, but the it was a complex skill to program artificially that took years to refine. Countless spin-off applications of the technology have developed since, including the ability to create 3D surveys of buildings like this one we created for an interior renovation of a historic carriage house.
