Columns are strange objects. Often excluded from human presence by wall panels and layers of finish, columns invisibly support humanity’s vertical aspirations.

One column in TriBeCa made its presence known by placing itself within steps a highly trafficked set of steps, spurring conversation as to why it existed in this exact location, and whether it would leave if requested. After months of planning and work the column graciously hopped to either side of the steps.

A new clear path from Living to Kitchen revealed itself through the re-routed loads from 5 stories above. During the process, we also replaced sliding glass doors around three terrace gardens.
